ABOUT THE PROJECT

Inderkum High School is located in the 200 acre master-planned community of Natomas, in Northern Sacramento. This 2,000 student award winning regional high school is part of the the Natomas Town Center, which also includes a regional library, a branch of the local community college and a large regional park. Inderkum High School is in the Natomas Unified School District.

Concord Eastridge affiliate, The Eastridge Companies (TEC), was selected by the Natomas Unified School District to serve as the developer for the new 40-acre high school campus under the California Assembly Bill 17406, which allows for a lease/leaseback delivery of public academic facilities. TEC facilitated the project financing through Piper Jaffray and served as the project manager for the delivery of the new campus. The campus was delivered in time for the fall semester 2004, one month early and more than $2 million under budget.

The high school development incorporated many sustainable, energy-efficient design features and has been heralded throughout California as a successful example of a strong public/private partnership.
